AFC Wimbledon have recalled midfielder Tom Beere from his loan at Gateshead due to “personal reasons”.
The 22-year-old joined the Tynesiders on an initial one month deal in February which was extended by a further month last week which included a recall option for the Dons.
And following Gateshead’s 2-1 win over Woking on Saturday, in which Beere featured in the first half before being substituted, the League One outfit have exercised their recall option with immediate effect.
Saturday’s match was Beere’s first start for Gateshead having been a second half substitute in each of the six previous matches for the Heed.
The midfielder’s most notable contribution in a Heed shirt was setting up Danny Johnson in the 2-0 win over Wrexham earlier in the month.
Now Neil Aspin has until Thursday’s deadline should he want to bring in another player.
