The Gateshead International Stadium is an 11,800 all-seater venue and home to Gateshead Football Club of the Vanarama National League. It is located in the east of Gateshead, near the river Tyne and walking distance from Newcastle Quayside and Gateshead Town Centre.

Asda Supermarket (<100m) – Situated opposite the Stadium.
The Schooner (400m) – One of Tyneside’s finest traditional pubs, home to great food and a wide range of ales on offer.
McDonalds (400m) – Walking distance from the stadium with a drive-thru.

The stadium is very easily accessible through all forms of transport, including on foot.

Gateshead International Stadium is signposted from major roads in the area.
A1 (from the North)
Follow the A1 Southbound until the turn off for the A184 (Gateshead Town Centre). Keep following the A184 until you come to the Stadium on the left.
A1 (from the South)
Follow the A1 Northbound, turn off the A167 (Gateshead South). Pass the Angel of the North on your left. Follow road to the centre of Gateshead, take the slip road underneath the flyover. Go straight over the roundabout and then turn right onto the A184 at the next roundabout. Follow the A184 until you come to the stadium on the left.
From the South (Quickest route):
At the end of the A1(M) Junction 65, take the A194(M) towards South Shields. At the end of the A194(M) take the A184 towards Gateshead. The stadium is situated three miles further along this road on the right-hand side.
A69 (from the West)
Follow the A69 until you meet the A1. From there follow directions as from the A1 North.
A19 (from the East)
Follow the A19 until you reach the Whitemare Pool roundabout. Turn right onto the A184 (Gateshead). Continue onto the A184 over the Heworth roundabout and the Stadium is on the right.
The stadium has three car parks to the front, accommodating the following:
Car Park Number 1: 86 normal sized bays; 8 disabled car parking; 2 electric car bays; 4 motorcycle bays
Car Park Number 2: 42 normal sized bays; 8 disabled car parking
Car Park Number 3: 87 normal sized bays; 4 coach bays
Overall total Spaces: 241
At least one hour before match kick-off, cones are placed along each side of the roadway leading to the stadium’s main entrance and on emergency access routes to prevent inappropriate parking and to maintain clearways for emergency vehicles.
Provision is made for the visiting club’s team and supporters’ coaches, if requirements are known in advance. Stewards manage and monitor the car park and at the appropriate time a visible ‘Car Park Full’ sign is placed at an appropriate position to forewarn arriving motorists.
The following car parking is available within reasonable distance of the Stadium or Metro station near to the Stadium resulting in disruption to vehicular traffic, residents and businesses being kept to a minimum.

93 (Loop) – between Gateshead Interchange and the Stadium
94 (Loop) – between Heworth Interchange and the Stadium
These services operate every 15 minutes. Gateshead Interchange provides transport links via bus and Metro to all local destinations as well as Newcastle Airport, Newcastle Central Station and Sunderland Train Station.
Gateshead Stadium Metro station is approximately a five minutes walk from the Stadium. A footpath leads from the Metro station, through St. James Village housing estate to the Stadium. The Metro Station is just two stops from Newcastle City centre.
The nearest train station is Newcastle Central Station (East Coast Line). Travel from Newcastle Central Station to Gateshead Stadium Metro station using the Metro.
