The game looked set to finish 1-1 when Jamie Chandler, signed from Darlington the day before, forced home what should have been the winner.

Gateshead recorded their first double of the season with a 2-0 victory over Stockport County at The International Stadium.
Jon Shaw opened the scoring in the second half from the penalty spot, before winger Chris Moore secured the points with a low drive three minutes later.

A scrappy match with one second half goal for either side saw this North-East derby end in a 1-1 draw.
Martin Brittain gave Gateshead the lead via a fantastic free-kick before Chris Carruthers conceeded a penalty and red card, with Marc Bridge-Wilkinson subsequently equalising from the penalty spot.

A Jon Shaw brace fired Gateshead into the 2nd round of the FA Trophy in what turned out to be a difficult afternoon against crisis club Kettering Town.
Kris Gate scored to make it 3-1, before Davis made it 3-2 in the second half and gave Gateshead a tricky last 30 minutes.

Gateshead were denied a place in the FA Cup 3rd round by a last minute Tamworth winner.
Trailing to Francino Francis's goal on the half hour The Heed were left with a mountain to climb when left back Chris Carruthers was sent off just before the break. Nathan Fisher equalised before the cruel late winner.

Winger Martin Brittain put Gateshead in the lead after a defensive mix-up, only for Jamie Vardy to equalise in the 73rd minute.

Missing central defensive pair Ben Clark and James Curtis, Gateshead lost 4-1 to Wrexham in a top of the table clash.
Danny Wright put the visitors ahead early on, with Joe Clarke doubling the lead early in the second-half. A Ewan Moyes own goal was then followed by a Kris Gate strike to reduce the deficit. However when Josh Gillies fouled Curtis in the box, Dean Keates restored the three goal lead from the penalty spot.

Gateshead drew 1-1 with Tamworth at the International Stadium to stay top of the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Central defender James Curtis opened the scoring in a 1st half dominated by the Tynesiders, but Tamworth levelled the game in the second half from the penalty spot.

Jon Shaw opened the scoring before Yemi Odubade scored a spectacular individual goal to make it 2-0. James Curtis headed home a second half goal from a corner to round off the scoring.

Ben Clark grabbed an injury time equaliser to give Gateshead a point against Darlington, in the first of three matches against the Quakers.
Darlington took a two goal first half lead, scoring twice from free kicks into the box. Martin Brittain converted a penalty before Ben Clark scored late on to make it 2-2.

Gateshead ran out 1-0 victors over London side Hayes & Yeading United thanks to a first half goal from striker Nathan Fisher.
On a heavy pitch Gateshead made hard work of the victory over Hayes & Yeading, with Fisher pouncing on a Martin Brittain cross just after the half hour to earn the three points.

Jon Shaw scored a second half equaliser against Kidderminster as three players made their debuts on-loan from Newcastle and Sunderland.
Debutant Michael Liddle gave Gateshead the lead before two quick goals for the visitors put Harriers in front at the break. Shaw equalised, with Gateshead unlucky not to go on and win the match.
