FA TrophyGateshead will face Blue Square Bet Premier title chasers Wrexham over two legs in the semi-final of the FA Trophy - if they overcome Barrow and then Gainsborough Trinity.

Hopes are high that a 5th attempt to stage the delayed 3rd round tie against Barrow will take place in Cumbria tomorrow night following a temperature rise.

The quarter-final tie against Gainsborough Trinity in Lincolnshire for the victors is set to take place next Tuesday, Gateshead at Tamworth in the Conference on Saturday.

Should The Heed make the last four for only the second time in their history the first leg against Wrexham, currently second in the Conference Premier, will be in North Wales.

The two-legged semi-finals are played on consecutive weekends, 16th and 23rd February, with the final at Wembley on Sunday 24th March.

Gateshead are ironically scheduled to play Wrexham in the league on the date of the first leg of the semi-final, having drawn 1-1 at the Racecourse Ground back in November.
