Gateshead sign York midfielder on loan
Gateshead have brought in experienced York City midfielder Lee Bullock on a one month emergency loan to cover for injured vice-captain Jamie Chandler.
Former Darlington schemer Chandler damaged ankle ligaments in the FA Cup defeat at Alfreton last weekend and is out for 4-6 weeks.
Bullock, 31, spent six years at York at the start of his career before he joined Cardiff City after a successful loan spell for £100,000.
After one season in the Championship Bullock signed for Hartlepool United where he spent three years and played 66 games for the Victoria Park club.
Following loan spells at Mansfield Town and Bury the Teessider spent four years with Bradford City making over a century of appearances.
Bullock returned to first club York City in the summer but has been limited to seven appearances for the Minstermen this season.
The midfield man will be added to the Gateshead squad for Saturday's trip to Kidderminster Harriers in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
"Bullock is an experienced performer with a lot of Football League experience and will be a good acquisition to the squad," said Gateshead manager Ian Bogie.
"He is a good passer of the ball and has defensive attributes having played as a centre half at times in his career."
Wide man James Marwood and right back Glenn Wilson meanwhile have been made available to go out on loan.
Summer signing from Crawley Town, Wilson, has been limited to three starts while pacy winger Marwood has been used mainly as an impact player off the bench.
Former Newcastle United trainee Maywood, 22, had a successful loan spell at FC Halifax Town last season.
"Marwood and Wilson both need to get some games under their belt." added Bogie "reserve sides are normally young and they need to get some game time against senior opposition."
