Gateshead Reserves face Quakers Tonight

Michael SweetGateshead will send a young reserve side to take on Darlington in a pre-season friendly tonight, kick-off 7:30pm.

The game will take place at the Quakers temporary home at Heritage Park, Bishop Auckland FC, Darlington's first fixture at their new ground.

The Northern League newcomers have won all six warm up games on their travels while Anth Smith's reserve side are also unbeaten.

Gateshead boss Ian Bogie will take the opportunity to have another look at former Newcastle United trainee Ryan McGorrigan.

The young trialist scored twice in The Heed's 4-3 comeback victory over a Sunderland XI last week.

Also included is England Schools international striker Michael Sweet who has become the latest player to sign YTS forms at Gateshead.

The teenager scored freely for Gateshead FC U.19s last season and has been on trial at Hull City and Bolton Wanderers this summer.

After tonight's game Gateshead reserves will take on Blyth Spartans at Croft Park on Saturday in another warm up game.
