Gateshead v Alfreton Town (Tuesday 7th February) - Match OFF

Phil AireyGateshead's 3rd round FA Trophy tie against Alfreton Town at the International Stadium tonight has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Saturday's original clash with the Reds had also been a victim of the weather and the tie will now take place next Tuesday, February 14th, at 7:45pm.

The Blue Square Bet Premier home game against Hayes & Yeading United that night has been rescheduled for Tuesday 6th March.

Gateshead's next game is at home to Conference Premier basement club Bath City on Saturday.

In preparation for the game with the Romans Ian Bogie's squad will have a behind closed doors work out against Newcastle United reserves tomorrow.

Most players will be given 45 minutes at United's training complex, the second time this season Gateshead have faced the Magpies in a friendly at Benton.

On loan Newcastle striker Phil Airey meanwhile has returned to his parent club.

The 20-year-old front man made one start and one substitute appearance during his short time at the International Stadium.
