Reserves face Tigers rematch
Having lost 4-0 in their previous Central League game at Hull City Gateshead reserves face a rematch with The Tigers in the League Cup tonight.
Paul Bryson's side at the International Stadium includes ten professionals, including a trialist in midfield from a Football League club in the south.
James Marwood plays at right wingback with Chris Moore and Josh Gillies providing the width in midfield.
Gary Mulligan partners Nathan Fisher up top as the Heed second string look for revenge against their Championship visitors.
Gateshead have beaten Hartlepool United 2-1 and lost 0-1 at Sunderland in their opening two Central League Cup games.
"We played some good football at Hull but didn't get any reward and we will be looking for a positive performance and result tonight," said Bryson.
Gateshead boss Ian Bogie will have a look at the teenage trialist, who will play in the centre of midfield, in a side with plenty of pace and a nice blend of youth and experience.
Kick-off at the International Stadium tonight (Monday) is 7pm.
