Gateshead reserves take on Tigers

James MarwoodTynesiders manager Ian Bogie has named a strong side for Gateshead Reserves Central League game at Championship outfit Hull City this evening.

Central defender Luke Gilbert is the only none professional in a starting XI that includes James Marwood on his return from his loan spell at FC Halifax Town.

Right back Eddie Odhiambo gets a run out after recovering from injury while Josh Gillies is back after completing a three match suspension.

Wide man Chris Moore gets more game time after recovering from a shoulder injury and Tim Deasy continues his comeback in goal.

Gary Mulligan leads the attack with midfielder Rob Briggs
captaining a side that also includes Sam Rents at left back and Scottish centre back Ewan Moyes.

"We will have a strong side out at North Ferriby," said Bogie "and I expect a good performance with players looking to stake a claim for a first team birth," said Bogie.

With seven substitutes allowed in the FA Cup there are places up for grabs in the 18 for Saturday's FA Cup 1st round tie at Blyth Spartans.

Hull City meanwhile could include flying winger Cameron Stewart who has been sidelined since he damaged knee ligaments last February.

The 20-year-old made 15 appearances for Hull last season, including 14 in the Championship, having started his career at Manchester United.

The Tigers second string have lost their last three games, including a 6-1 League Cup defeat at Hartlepool United.
