Pools first up for Reserves
Gateshead reserves will begin their second season in the totesport.com league with an away fixture at Hartlepool United on Wednesday August 24th.
The first home game is against newcomers Rotherham United at the International Stadium on Monday 5th September.
The other new side in the competition is Bradford City who provide the opposition for the Tynesiders second home game, with Leeds United, Grimsby Town and Lincoln City no longer involved.
A League Cup based on a group format will again run alongside the league competition and Gateshead reserves will also defended the Durham Challenge Cup won for the first time in April.
