Gateshead Reserves DCC home tie
Gateshead reserves reward for their stirring fightback against Sunderland RCA on Wednesday in the Durham Challenge Cup is a home tie in the semi-final.
Gateshead scored three goals in the last ten minutes to snatch a famous victory from the jaws of defeat and win a nine goal thriller by the odd goal.
Paul Bryson's side have been drawn at home to Norton & Stockton Ancients in the last four with either Dunston UTS or Spennymoor Town awaiting the winners in the final.
Gateshead reserves have been drawn at home in four of their five County Cup ties this season..
Norton & Stockton Ancients include former Gateshead, Hartlepool United and Bury goalkeeper Jim Provett in their ranks.
Striker Jamie Clarke had a brief spell at Gateshead and Norton & Stockton are one of a clutch of Northern League clubs still in the FA Vase.
The Teeside outfit, enjoying their best season in the Northern League, are currently 6th in the table and have won six and drawn two of their 11 away games in the league.
The Durham Challenge Cup semi-final clash is provisionally set to take place on Wednesday March 2nd at the International stadium.
"Norton & Stockton will be tough but the draw could have been a lot worse and I am delighted to have home advantage again," said Bryson.
"As always it will depend on who we have available on the night, but we have done well to get this far and want to go one step further."
