Gateshead release French striker

Gateshead will release giant French Striker Armand One after Saturday's Blue Square Premier game against Crawley Town at the International Stadium.

One joined Gateshead at the end of August from Scottish club Livingston, making his debut in the ill fated home game against Hayes & Yeading United on 5th September.

Since then the 26 year old has made another seven starts, with eight more off the bench, without finding the net.

His only goal came in the 2-2 friendly draw at Chester-le-Street Town this month and after seven consecutive appearances off the bench he returned to the starting line up for the injured Graeme Armstrong at York this week.

One, who has played for four Scottish clubs as well as Cambridge United, provided the headed flick on for Peter Winn to score the injury time equaliser against Brentford in the FA Cup.

"One has yet to score a competitive goal for Gateshead and has not shown enough to take the month by month deal forward," said manager Ian Bogie.

"He will be available for Saturday's game against Crawley Town and we wish him well for the future."

Irish front man Darren Forsyth, limited to two starts and three substitute appearances since he joined Gateshead in the summer, has been given an extra month on loan at Northern League neighbours Dunston UTS.

On loan striker Daryl Clare meanwhile will not be allowed to play against parent club Mansfield Town on Tuesday as part of the loan agreement between the two clubs.

The Republic of Ireland B international will however be available to play against Harrogate Town in the FA Trophy on December 12th.
