Harwood joins Harrogate Town on loan

Wide man Jamie Harwood has joined Blue Square North club Harrogate Town on loan, and made his debut in the 3-2 defeat at Northwich Victoria on Saturday.

The 25 year old, who has been limited to two starts for Gateshead this season, was one of four new signings for Harrogate that played at Northwich.

Another was Gateshead trialist Trevor Benjamin who marked his first appearance for the Yorkshiremen with two goals.

"Jamie has gone out on loan to Harrogate to get some games under his belt," said manager an Bogie "and there will be more incomings and outgoings, mainly in the loan market."

German-born midfielder Christoph Ascherl has been linked with a move to Bedlington Terriers while Gateshead will take in a Premier reserve game this week to run the rule over two possible loan signings.
