Ossett Town 0 - 3 Gateshead

Two Wayne Phillips goals either side of a Craig Baxter strike ensured Gateshead go in to Saturday's home game against Matlock Town on the back of consecutive 3-0 victories as the visitors brushed aside Ossett Town at Ingfield.

Gateshead took the lead almost immediately through Phillips and when Baxter doubled the advantage on 18 minutes the Tynesiders were in complete control as they went in to the break two goals to the good.

Any lingering doubts of a win were gone six minutes in to the second half as Phillips grabbed his second of the game to strengthen their position in the playoff places in the Unibond Premier Division table.
