Gateshead are through to the Final of the Newton Moor Durham Challenge Cup following a 1-0 extra time victory over Spennymoor Town at the International Stadium on Monday night.

A hard-fought game looked destined for penalties following a goalless 118 minutes of football. It was then that Ben Hutchinson volleyed home from eight yards to book Gateshead a place in the Final against the winners of Wednesday's Sunderland Reserves v's Horden Semi-Final.
