First half goals from Wayne Phillips and James Dudgeon, his first for the club, gave the Tynesiders a 2-0 half time lead with midfielder Jamie Harwood adding a third in the second half.
Gateshead now have a return of seven points from a possible nine over Christmas and are now just four points behind third placed Marine with five games in hand.
