Gateshead, much improved from their defeat at the hands of Marine two weeks ago, could have won the tie on the day after a Graeme Armstrong header gave the Tynesiders the lead with 15 minutes to go only for the visitors to force a replay with an unstoppable 25 yard strike two minutes later.
