All go for Hyde

Gateshead will begin the season at Hyde United on Saturday - that is the message that came from Derek Bell after a series of meetings to safeguard the club throughout the last week.  Bell said “the club is still alive and kicking and we will have a team to play at Hyde this Saturday.  However, there is still a lot of hard work to do off the pitch to keep the club moving in an upward direction”.

A handful of players have moved on to pastures new with David Colvin and Anthony Shandran joining Spennymoor and Paul Thompson leaving for Bishop Auckland.  However, coming into the club are Craig Robson from Bishop Auckland, Mark Atkinson from Blyth Spartans and Martin Smith who was on the books of Darlington last season.

Anybody wishing to travel to Hyde for the game should contact away travel co-ordinator Dave Simpson on 07939417704.  There are still some seats left on the coach with the fare set at £15.
