Gateshead take on Huddersfield Town at the International Stadium on Saturday hoping to have two 30 year old strikers with almost 800 appearances in the professional game between them, in their squad.
Tynesiders manager Ian Bogie has tracked former Stoke City, Rochdale, Swansea City, Leyton Orient and Cheltenham Town striker Paul Connor for some time.
The Bishop Auckland-born player turned out as a trialist for League Two side Lincoln City on Wednesday and played 85 minutes of the Imps goalless draw against Ferencvaros. |

The Gateshead Football Club office at the International Stadium will be open tonight, Thursday July 9th between 5-8pm for the sale of Season Tickets for the forthcoming 2009/10 campaign. | Gateshead sign former Magpie Brittain - 26.06.2009 |
Gateshead have further strengthened their squad with the signing of 24 year old right sided midfield player Martin Brittain whose career began at Newcastle United.
Brittain made one start for the Magpies, a 1-0 FA Cup win over Mansfield Town in front of more than 40,000 fans at St.James' Park back in January 2006.
He was however a regular on the bench for Newcastle during the 2005-6 campaign where he made an additional five appearances - all but one in cup ties.
A short stay at Ipswich Town was then followed by a loan spell at Yeovil Town which saw the Cramlington-born player make 15 appearances for the Glovers. |

| Life's a beach for Gateshead squad - 25.06.2009 |

Gateshead's squad, currently numbering 16, will begin pre-season training this weekend with a stamina sapping beach session as they start preparing for the 2009/10 Blue Square Premier season.
Manager Ian Bogie and his staff will put the current squad, plus a number of trialists, through their paces at Tynemouth Longsands on Saturday.
The players have all been given a fitness schedule to keep in trim during the summer and Bogie expects his charges to be in good shape when they report back. |

Robbo solves left-back problem - Jun 24 2009 Evening Chronicle by Jeff Bowron
Gateshead solved their problematic left back birth when experienced former Hartlepool, Hereford, Stockport County and York City defender Mark Robinson put pen to paper at the International Stadium on Tuesday night.
The 27 year old, who has also played for Torquay United, has spent the last two seasons at York City where he suffered the disappointment of missing out on the Minstermen's FA Trophy final defeat at Wembley last month. |

Gateshead have clinched the signing of experienced former England C left back Mark Robinson, who has spent the last two seasons at Blue Square Premier rivals York City.
The 27 year old became manager Ian Bogie's fourth signing of the summer when he signed a one year deal with a one year option.
Guisborough-born Robinson began his career at Hartlepool United where he made 90 appearances during a six year stay at Victoria Park. |
