Two days after beating Mansfield Town reserves 2-1 in the Central League Cup final Gateshead reserves repeated the feat in their final league game of the season.
After winning silverware at Field Mill on Tuesday Gateshead's youngsters edged another closely fought three goal game, this time at the Hetton Centre.

A Callum Patton double just before half-time saw Gateshead reserves come from behind to win the Central League Cup for the first time.
The competition was introduced in 1996 and previous winners include Manchester United, Sunderland, Leicester City, Stoke City, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.

Gateshead reserves will look to win the Central League Cup for the first time when they take on Mansfield Town's second string in Nottinghamshire tonight.
The clash at Field Mill kicks-off at 7pm with admission just £3 and £1, the Stags having clinched a return to the Football League on the final day of the season.
